Insect Farming  ·  Robotics & AI

The CoRoSect Consortium Meeting+

The CoRoSect Consortium Meeting was held at the Maastricht University – Faculty of Science and Engineering. With a packed agenda spanning over 3 days, attendees engaged in presentations, discussions, demonstrations, and parallel sessions, all with the aim of paving the way towards the 4 CoRoSect pilots planned for this year. The event proved to be a critical juncture for the project, as a lot of challenges lay ahead in this crucial phase.

At the meeting, the team had the opportunity to discuss the project’s accomplishments, results, and pilot activities so far, as well as prepare strategies for insect farming in the future. The agrifood industry is on the verge of a digital transformation, and insect farming is no exception. Pioneering technologies within the CoRoSect project are being used to unlock the full potential of this subfield, propelling it into the future of agrifood with robotics.

CoRoSect is at the forefront of developing a novel Cognitive Robotic System for Digitalized and Networked (Automated) Insect Farms. With leading-edge robotics, AI, and some of the best experts in the industry, the project aims to embrace automation and eliminate monotonous and mundane tasks.

In conclusion, the CoRoSect Consortium Meeting was a resounding success, providing a platform for discussion and innovation, and helping to shape the future of insect farming. With cutting-edge technologies and a team of dedicated experts, CoRoSect is poised to transform the industry and revolutionize the way we think about insect farming. As the project moves forward, we can expect exciting developments and ground breaking advancements in the world of agrifood.
