Insect farming research and innovation have the potential to make a big contribution to increasing production and reducing costs. Protocols and techniques can be made better by focusing on understanding the biology, behavior, and ideal conditions for insect rearing. Therefore, CoRoSect concentrates on optimizing breeding and rearing practices, creating effective diets, and improving environmental circumstances. Higher reproduction rates, faster growth, and increased output are all possible outcomes of these developments.
Additionally, innovations in automation and robotics play a crucial role in scaling up insect farming. By automating repetitive and labor-intensive tasks, such as feeding, cleaning, and sorting, efficiency can be increased, and the reliance on manual labor reduced. This not only saves costs but also enables large-scale production. fao.org/3/i3253e/i3253e.pdf
