The first day of the Synergy Days Conference concluded in great success, where CoRoSect was presented by Konstantinos Stavridis (CERTH). He explained the significance and goals of CoRoSect’s role for the future of agriculture and presented its advancements to a broad audience of stakeholders across Europe.

CoRoSect booth was a lively place for discussion and engagement with the interested audience, ranging from farmers, software and hardware engineers to synergistic project representatives. Opportunities for joint project activities were explored and insights shared. Notably, informal discussions sparked an interest in addressing potential solutions for insect farming, optimizing insect rearing processes, and advancing the development of innovative technology.

Furthermore, CoRoSect held a joint workshop with the sister project Robs4Crops, titled „Effective Application Scenarios: Robotic Solutions for Crop Weeding, Spraying and Insect Farming Automation “. The workshop was quite interactive, because our partners from Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) showcased how the Visual Inspection System detects insects and measures their size and colour by bringing real insects for demonstration.

They have further added to excitement with their Virtual Reality (VR) System that uses VR glasses and sensory gloves, giving the audience a unique opportunity to experience it firsthand. This technology will be used in the insect farming industry for training operators how to operate with robots without stopping production line in the farm.

The workshop was highly interactive experience that actively engaged the audience in discussion and left them with some CoRoSect gift bags.
