NASEKOMO – Bulgaria
Nasekomo is an insect rearing company currently producing insect protein and oil for the animal feed industry, and insect fertilizer for the agriculture industry. Nasekomo is the first and at present the only insect rearing factory in South-East Europe, and are located in Bulgaria. Nasekomo is focused on robotizing production processes by implementing technology that is aimed at automating a currently very labour-intensive manufacturing environment.
Role in the project
Nasekomo will lead Use-cases, user requirements and system architectures and Pilot scenario definition, as well as will contribute to all tasks in Biological, technical and economic aspects and parameters to insect rearing, Pilot studies demonstration and evaluation, Dissemination, communication and exploitation, and Project management. Nasekomo will also contribute to Adaptive farm process modelling, Printed sensors to monitor insect environment, intelligent crates, Integration and ROS, and Testing, optimization and technical validation.
