ICF – Italy
Founded in 2017, Italian Cricket Farm was born from the collaboration of an entrepreneurial group that had the initial idea of investing in a cutting-edge project. Currently, the company achieves its economic independence by breeding crickets, belonging to the species AD (Acheta domesticus, Linnaeus 1758), to be destined to the pet-food market, the primacy achieved, for quantity and quality, has allowed it to conquer this niche market nationwide, gaining the break-even point in just two years.
The ICF, through its breeding and human resources, will ensure the proper conduct of the definition phase and implementation phase, specifically about the Use-cases and user requirements, Functional specifications, Biological, technical and economic requirements on insect rearing process, Developing sustainable insect diets from agricultural wastes and sidestreams, and will ensure continuous monitoring during the demonstration and testing phase (Pilot studies demonstration and evaluation).
